Design Democracy developed a new campaign identity for the Victorian Department of Health designed to disrupt the barriers and stigma around sexual health and sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing.
Sexual Health Month is an annual public awareness campaign focusing on sexually active young people and adults, women of reproductive age (or who are planning a family), culturally and linguistically diverse, LGBTQI+ and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The campaign strategy seeks to normalise STI testing and treatment, providing Victorians with information on when, where and how to get tested and seek treatment. Built around a vibrant visual language of abstracted entwined shapes, the new campaign celebrates sexual health in a body positive manner. Campaign collateral is accompanied by messaging that encourages an open and inclusive dialogue with the tagline “Everybody’s doing it”.
